Welcome to Tunisia, I’m Jon Haggins. I’m here for the Sahara Festival.

Tunisia’s located on the North coast of Africa along the Mediterranean Sea. Tunisia’s surrounded by Algeria and Libya. Its a mosaic of people from the North to the South from the West to the East. Tunisia is the size of Florida. Its topography consists of desert cities, Roman ruins and mountains that are waiting to be explored. This is a spectacular celebration where I dine with new friends in a ‘wadi’ under a tent. I’m Jon Haggins, I’m here in Tunisia at the Tamersa Hotel and its an incredible experience.

We had dancers; we had great food at the oasis. I’m dressed as a Berber and you know the Atlas Mountains remind me of these great sleeping elephants. I have had the most wonderful time and you will share this within the next few minutes, so stay tuned. “Wow”. Camel rides are offered throughout the desert. We are here in the dunes in the desert and I’m with my friend Alex and Amet the camel man and he is wearing his beautifully colored saddle that I think is just fabulous.
