Hi Susan here from Mobuzz on Monday the 30th of July.
I know its Monday but we’re just 2 days away from August. So if you’re planning on traveling next month, here are some things to help make your trip more enjoyable. First we are going to explore some of the different travel social networks. Travel for good and Travelocity is a site that allows you to replace your carbon foot prints by donating for causes like cutting trees. You can also contribute to keeping local cuisines alive by logging on to Slowfood.com before you go. Here you can see which restaurants are registered in the Slow Food process. This means that they adhere to the good clean and fair food mantra of this organization. See if you’re looking for McDonalds forget about it.
Boo.com is a social network for travelers. I like the design of this site and it’s all very easy to navigate. Here at the Boo w-page I can get the weather, oh my God the sun is out. And user generated reviews of hotels, restaurants, bars and museums. The only problem here is there seems to be a very wide gap in between some of their reviews. They range from extremely positive to extremely average. I really like the idea behind the website but it just doesn’t seem to fully do it right now. One cool thing is you can raise and geo.tag the places you’ve been. So other users don’t get lost or at least know exactly what you’re talking about. Take Johnnie Foxx’s pub for instance. As its a bit off the beaten track. I went there with my friends and we had a great time. Perfect for bringing guests because everything about it is traditional Ireland.
