- Charlotte and Summer Tour Europe’s Cool Capitals – Episode 4
Hello everyone, it’s Charlotte checking in for the last time from Antwerp.
What a perfect city to end my four week escaped through Europe’s cool capitals. I think I’ll miss Antwerp the most. It’s the closest thing to New York City with its Boerentoeren skyscraper, that on a clear day, you can see all the into Brussels. It’s breath taking. Although my vacation is ended and I’ll be back home soon and at work, you can use coolcapitals.com to help plan and research your trip. For starters, here are a few of my recommendations.
Definitely visit the Cathedral of Our Lady. It took a 169 years to build and has a 23 meter high tower, very impressive. Don’t miss the chance to check out the famous Reuben’s house. The man certainly had good taste and obviously some money to spare. The house is built around a courtyard and Reubens himself designed the Flemish Italian renaissance garden. I strongly recommend the recently open Forrent dining which is a part of the Forrent concept store. Order a fillet of duck with a shitaki ginger sauce and a crème roulade. It’s to die for. If you want to see, some live music go to Legendary Jazz Café de Muze.
